Enable 'Prevent From Content Pasting'

Modified on Fri, 18 Apr at 7:57 PM

For text based response types, Vieple has a setting that can prevent content from being pasted from another source by the candidate into the answer box.

This only applies to the two text based response types that are available:

  • Text (Text response type questions is an alternative response type, meant for candidate to provide short text based responses to questions)
  • Essay (Essay questions allow candidates to type an extended response to a question, which is automatically saved at regular intervals)

This setting is enabled at the question level, and is not interview wide. You may have one question that prevents pasting, and another that does not in the same interview.

To enable this feature, you can do it when creating a new question, or you can edit an already existing question.

Here is how to edit an existing question, the option appears the same if you are adding a new question from scratch:

Click on your interview and select Interview Settings from the sidebar:

Once in your Interview Settings, you want to select the Manage Questions tab:

From there you select Edit on the Essay or Text type response:

Scroll down to find the 'Prevent From Content Pasting' setting and toggle to On:

The candidate can now only type directly into the text box on the Vieple platform to give their response. If they try and copy some text and paste it into the box, it simply will not paste.
