Question, Greeting & Thank You Videos - Personalise the Respondent Experience with Video Content

You can now add your own pre-recorded video clips to your Vieple interview! Videos can be shown to respondents as:

  • Question videos
  • Welcome messages
  • Thank you messages

For Question videos, Respondents will have an opportunity to watch your video through once before being prompted to record their response to the question. You can choose to allow respondents to watch the video again if they would like. Re-watching the video will use their review and/or response time limit.

 

Welcome and thank you videos are played once at the beginning and end of the interview respectively.

 

These videos may be recorded directly on Vieple or uploaded from your device to your Media Resources Bank. To do so, you can follow our instructions below.

How to Upload your Video


  1. Create your video using a recording device or video making software. If you need to edit your video, do this before the next steps.
  2. Head to the Media Resources page from the left side-menu on your account.
  3. Select the Upload option.
  4. Drag and drop the video from a folder, or click Browse to locate it on your computer.
  5. Fill in the information for your video, and click to upload it to your account.


 

 

Once you have uploaded and saved your video, you can select it for use as a Welcome, Thank You or Question video when creating your interview:

 



How to Record your Video


Videos recorded through Vieple can be:

  • Between 5 seconds - 3 minutes in length.
  • Recorded on a PC, Mac, iPhone/iPad or Android device

 

On the left side-menu, select the Media Resources option. mceclip0.png
Click Record a New Video:mceclip2.png

A pop-up will appear where you can record your video.

 

Script
Use this for quick notes or a script for your video. You can refer to it while recording so that you don't need to close the page or look away.

Your script isn't saved, so this is just used for notes during the recording.

 

Duration
This is how long the video will run for. You can also click Finish if you would like to end the recording early. We recommend using this so that the video doesn't include a shot of you leaning forward to click the finish button.

 

Start Recording

When you are ready to record, click this.

You will see a countdown to let you know when the recording has started.

During the recording you can keep track of the remaining time with the timer above your video.

 

If you are done before the timer ends, you can click Finish Recording otherwise, the recording will end automatically when time runs out.

Your video will now play back, so you can review what you have recorded.

 

Scope

This is where the video will be saved to your account. Intro/Outro/Question video.

 

Title (not shown to candidates)

This is how the video will be labelled on the list. We recommend using a meaningful name with a date to make it easy to identify. Such as "Graduate Welcome Video Feb 2022"

 

Description (not shown to candidates)

This is a brief description to describe the content of your video.

 

Active

This video will be available for selection when setting up an interview.

 

Record Again

Use this to try again - your recording will not be saved.

 

Save

Click this to save your video to your account. You can edit the settings later if you need to by selecting it from the list of videos.

Once you have saved your video, it will be available on the list of videos, and you can use it when you create your next video interview, or edit an existing one.
